On the Wednesday evening we came home disappointed from the qualifiers, we had a phone message telling us to be back at RAF Newton that Sunday, 7th July 2002 for filming. Given only three days notice we had our work cut out to get repaired and organized. Ruf Ruf Dougal needed welding, new fur etc, days off work needed organizing and friends notifying. Unfortunately this time we didn't manage to track down any free spectator tickets beforehand so our fan club was reduced to four! However our series 5 appearance had only been shown on BBC2 on the 21st June so we were well known to the school kids who had been rounded up as a crowd and we got a big cheer before the fight.
